COURSE INFO OUTLINE:

PROGRAM FORMAT
The C-GAP Voice and Chamber Music Program is a three-week study abroad experience at the Accademia Chigiana in Siena, Italy.

FACULTY
Maria Luigia Borsi, voice (Decca Artist Italy) – Chris Turner, voice SFA University – Linda Di Fiore, voice (Florida State University)  Antonio Artese, piano (coaching) – Kate Bolton Porciatti, Music History (Florence) – Irene Lione, Italian course (Siena).

APPLICATIONS and ELIGIBILITY:

  • Applications are accepted online only through the form below.
  • Applicants must be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program at an accredited college or university.
  • Applicants must submit a video recording of their voice repertoire (10 minutes total, including two contrasting musical styles).
  • Applicants must include contact information (email and phone number) for a reference. The reference should be either the applicant’s principal teacher or a mentor who has worked with the applicant within the past three years. This reference may be contacted regarding the applicant’s performance abilities.

APPLICATION DEADLINE (digital timestamp) is April 1, 2026, at midnight PST.

ACCEPTANCE NOTIFICATION:

Applicants will be notified of their admission to the course on a rolling basis after their application has been evaluated.

Students admitted to the program are required to pay a non-refundable deposit of USD 500.00 by April 15 to accept the offer. The deposit will be applied toward the tuition fee.

The remaining tuition balance is due by May 15, 2026.

PLEASE NOTE:
Failure to pay the tuition balance by the deadline may result in the forfeiture of the student’s place in the C-GAP Voice and Chamber Music Program 2026.

FEES AND IMPORTANT DATES

IMPORTANT DATES:

– Application deadline: April 1, 2026
– Admissions decision: by April 7, 2026

OFFICIAL PROGRAM DATES:
– Program starts on Sunday May 24, 2026
– Program ends on Sunday June 14, 2026 
– Students check in in Siena: Sunday May 24, by 7:00 PM
– Students must vacate apartments on Sunday June 14th  by 12:00 noon

FEES:
The course fees are:
– USD 4,000.00  (tuition + housing in double room in the Chigiana Residence apartments)
– USD 500.00 (supplement for single room)

FEES INCLUDE:
Instruction, housing in double room (single room optional for additional fee) program orientations (online pre-departure orientation & onsite orientation),  cultural activities,  participation in the Primavera Chigiana Festival, welcome dinner, farewell reception, student services assistance, card to the University of Siena canteen, field trip to Venice, Italy, professional audio and video recording of the final concert at the Primavera Chigiana Festival in Siena.

FEES DO NOT INCLUDE:
Transportation to and from the US, regular meals, and personal expenses.

PAYMENT TERMS:
The balance should be paid no later than May 15, 2026, to:
FRIENDS OF CHIGIANA INC., a  501(c)(3) non-profit organization registered in the State of New York.
Payment methods are: Zelle (preferred) or Bank wire.

Payment details will be communicated upon confirmation of admission.
